Our Festive Gathering
On Monday evening the 7th of December, all of our classroom 'bubbles' gathered together in a socially distanced way on the main yard which had been transformed into a beautiful, sparkly, festive haven to sing, recite, act, dance and play tunes. It was most certainly a foggy, bitterly cold evening but the wonderfully festive atmosphere and splendid performances were to put it mildly, heartwarming! The Christmas Story was expertly depicted by Junior & Senior Infants and the 'Rock & Roll Snowmen' with their colourful guitars in 1st & 2nd had some fantastic moves. 3rd & 4th demonstrated their wonderful memories with their recitation about 'The Grinch', while 5th & 6th performed a super rendition of 'The Little Drummer Boy' which was accompanied by some children playing the samba drums. A memorable evening was topped off with each child receiving a personalised treat bag and enjoying a well deserved, delicious cup of hot chocolate. The evening would not have been possible without the efforts of a lot of people. We are very fortunate in Clonlisk N.S. to have such a hardworking, creative, musical and artistic staff that worked together with very supportive Parents' Association representatives in leaving no stone unturned in organising such a special evening for the children. Earlier in the day, Santa called by to say hello and to give each child a Selection Box and the 'Christmas Annuals' which were sponsored by the Parents' Association were distributed on Monday too! All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable, memorable & special day for all. Have a look at the brilliant performances by following this link: https://tinyurl.com/y5p6kyfg
