BLAST Programme

Clonlisk N.S. successfully applied for the Blast (Bringing Live Arts to Students and Teachers) Programme. The aim of the scheme is to give pupils in schools all over the country the opportunity to work with a professional artist on unique projects. 4th, 5th & 6th Class participated in the first workshop of the BLAST Programme this week. Photograper & artist, Annie Holland, explored environmental issues with the children and introduced them to unique ways of creating art with non-recyclable items. The highlight of the workshop was the ceramics project that the children began working on. They're already looking forward to Annie's next visit where they'll be glazing their ceramic creations.
