An Exciting Trip to Crinkill

It was a fun filled, action packed last few days of the school year for 4th, 5th & 6th Classes with a visit to Grant Engineering & Birr Airfield.

Many thanks to Gary Kelly of Grant Engineering for organising a highly engaging and interesting tour around the Grant facility. Huge thanks also to Thomas Brereton and colleagues, who guided the children around the various sections of the facility and made the trip both fun and educational.

Following their tour of Grant Engineering, the children were kindly invited by Colm Wright to visit Birr Airfield to view some aircraft. Here, the children got to sit inside some aircraft while Colm and Tom (Wrafter) explained the function of the equipment to them. There was lots of excitement when Colm took off in his plane, flew overhead and landed again nearby. A wonderful time was enjoyed by all. Many thanks to Colm & Tom for facilitating the trip.
