All Ireland Camogie Champions Visit Clonlisk

Past pupil of Clonlisk N.S. Nicola Cleary & past pupil of Shinrone N.S. Aoife Liffey, Offaly players and winners of the Tesco All Ireland Minor B Camogie Final & Leinster Minor A Shield Final visited our school. Another past pupil of Clonlisk N.S., Sarah Cleary was a member of the management team that steered the Offaly girls to success in the spring. The children made flags & paper chains in honour of the camogie champions. They were delighted to have had the opportunity to meet them and to ask them questions.

Both Nicola & Aoife represented their primary schools in Cumann na mBunscol competitions where they achieved great success, so it came as no surprise to anyone that they have added Leinster & All-Ireland medals to their collections. We have no doubt that the girls' visit will serve to encourage all of our pupils to keep playing sport or to be the best that they can be at their chosen hobby.
